Seiwakai International
Seiwa Kai is an international association of Goju Ryu Karate practitioners which was established in Japan in 1971 by Hanshi Shuji Tasaki (8th dan). Tasaki was the senior student of Hanshi Gogen Yamaguchi, the founder of the Goju Ryu branch of the Japan Karate Federation, known as the JKF Goju Kai. There are now 56 branches of Goju-ryu Seiwa Kai throughout the world, including Japan, Hong Kong, England, Canada, United States, Australia, Italy and Germany. Sei means “truth, honesty, sincerity” and wa means “harmony and peace”. These are the principles on which Seiwa Kai Goju-ryu karate were founded.
